We didn't have time, so that's why we would have stayed for longer. Outstanding and reasonably spacious room, it included an electric kettle, a stone fireplace, and central heating.

our stay at The Wood Cottage was a delightful experience. The highlight of our room was undoubtedly the spa bath, which provided the perfect setting for a luxurious and relaxing soak. It felt like being in our very own private oasis, with bubbles floating around like foamy clouds and warm water enveloping us like a gentle hug. It was a blissful experience that left us feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on the world.

There were a balcony and floor to ceiling windows in the room, truly enjoyed that. The breakfast was enjoyable with homemade yogurt and the food was excellent!

I got great value for my money at Wood Cottage. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location offered stunning views and a tranquil countryside setting. The staff, especially Sandra and David, were welcoming and always available without being intrusive.
Breakfast selection could be improved by ensuring that the coffee tray and water are refilled for the second night's stay.

The Wood Cottage in Scarborough was like a dream come true for a beach lover like me. The double room was simply amazing. It had a balcony, a spa bath, and even a fireplace! I felt like a celebrity every time I stepped into that room.
But, I have to admit, the one thing I didn't enjoy so much about the room was the spa bath. It just wasn't my thing, but I can see how others might find it relaxing.

The continental breakfast was absolutely delicious and we couldn't get enough of it during our stay. The location of the property was stunning, with breathtaking views all around. Being able to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside while still being within a short drive from town was a major advantage. , the hosts Sandra and David were incredibly welcoming and always available if we needed anything.
Honestly, there was nothing to dislike about our experience. The stay was perfect in every way, and we couldn't have asked for more.

I spent 2 lovely nights in Scarborough. The breakfasts were wonderful with fresh croissants and homemade yogurt, and there were lovely views. I greatly enjoyed the hotel's location in the middle of the city. It was a good base for our trip, and I could easily reach Wimbleball Lake Country Park, around a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel.

From the cozy and comfortable self-contained accommodation, to the stunning views from the bedroom and balcony, everything exceeded our expectations. The wood burner kept us toasty warm, and the added touches like milk, tea, coffee, bread. We also loved watching the running ducks and friendly chickens. The location was peaceful, yet within a short drive to Scarborough and Whitby. The continental breakfast was delicious, and Sandra and David made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. We couldn't fault anything about our experience.
